White Willow Supplement Review on Usage, Dosage, Side Effects, Benefits

22/11/2018

White Willow Bark Extract Supplement
The bark of Salix Alba has been used in folk medicine since ancient times. It is a known agent for reducing fever and pain, for strengthening the body and cleansing the blood.

The extract from it is used for internal bleeding, catarrh, rheumatic fever, joint problems, and cystitis. It is used in the treatment of liver problems, kidney, and heart. It is well known for its antiparasitic and antimalarial action.

Chinese doctors have been using white willow (aka Salix alba) for thousands of years.
The modern medicine uses the willow bark (Cortex Salicis), which is collected in early spring, during intensive juice movement in the plant.

The bark is separated from young twigs of trees aged 2 to 5 years. Then it is cut into pieces or crushed for infusions. Thereof tablets and capsules are made, often in combination with other anti-inflammatory plants.

The bark of Salix Alba helps with colds, fevers, fever, pleurisy, rheumatism, gout, headache, inflammation of the bladder.

Japanese scientists proved a study in 2002 study that salicylic acid (formed from the processing of salicin in the intestines) lowers the temperature without damaging the stomach. The bark is known for its antiseptic effect and is applied topically on wounds and ulcers.

It is used in diarrhea and intestinal infections. The European medical science confirms its healing properties much later. In the Ith century, Dioscorides confirmed these effects. A century later, Galen also studied it. Modern science recognizes the effects of Salix Alba as anti-inflammatory and styptic.

Vitamin D Supplement Review on Usage, Dosage, Side Effects, Benefits

22/11/2018

Vitamin D Supplement
Vitamin D belongs to a group of fat-soluble vitamins, as it is extremely rare in nature. You can find it in the form of active vitamin mainly in animal products like fish liver oils, liver, animal fats, butter and egg yolk.

The low levels of Vitamin D in the body lead to the development of more than 50 pathological conditions, including cardiovascular and neoplastic diseases, as well as decreased resistant body forces and diabetes.

Thus, Vitamin D is one of the most important vitamin for humans and animals. If we follow the timeline of events, we would find out that vitamin D was discovered in 1782 and was isolated at the beginning of 1920.

Nowadays, in the 21st century, it is already known not only for its preventive role against rachitis-like conditions but also for its favorable impact on the immune and nervous system.

On the other hand, its scarcity and its low levels in the body lead to the development of more than 50 pathological conditions, including cardiovascular and neoplastic diseases, as well as decreased resistant body forces and diabetes.

Omega 3 Supplement Review on Usage, Dosage, Side Effects, Benefits

17/11/2018

Omega-3 Supplement
The Omega 3 fatty acids have been very popular among athletes recently. The main reason for this is their role in regulating immunity.

The regular intensive sports activities reflect negatively on our immunity and the insufficient intake of omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids is a potentially ticking bomb.

The Omega fatty acids, and, in particular, omega-3, are called essential because the human body cannot synthesize them from other non-essential materials.

The consumption of sources of omega-3 is the modern diet is too little unlike the intake of omega-6 sources. This creates a strong imbalance.

The full deficit of omega-3 fatty acids is impossible, but very low levels in certain groups of people can be observed as the most common of them are vegans, because their fish and animal products consumption are low, and plant sources of omega-3 are not sufficient.

Insufficient levels of omega-3 and especially of DHA are the reason for adverse conditions such as anxiety, aggression, difficulties in memorizing and impaired carbohydrate metabolism

MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) Supplement Review on Usage, Dosage, Side Effects, Benefits

17/11/2018

MSM Supplement
MSM ( Methylsulfonylmethane) is a supplement which you can use if you have problems with joints or joint pains.

Even in these cases, the substance remains rare as a standalone product, as it is often contained in  complex formulas that we have chosen or that have been recommending to us.

This is all of the general knowledge of the so-called organic sulfur that most of us have.
As a dietary supplement, however, this substance can be found everywhere around us and also inside our bodies, holding numerous positive properties.

MSM is an organic sulfur compound, which is more often distributed in the abbreviation MSM or by the name organic sulfur.

The most common benefits of MSM are associated with anti-inflammatory properties in joint pain and especially in the treatment of osteoarthritis.

Some people claim that MSM improves the body’s condition after sports injuries - joints, tendons and muscles, and that it regulates inflammation in muscles, caused by physical stress.

Some sports experts recommend it for prevention of cramps. MSM, in combination with hyaluronic acid and tea tree oil, improves hemorrhoids, when applied in the form of a cream.

Krill Oil Supplement Review on Usage, Dosage, Side Effects, Benefits

12/11/2018

Krill Oil Supplement
Fish oil is one of the most popular health products due to the high content of omega-3 fatty acids and the several benefits for overall health. Most products on the fish oil market are extracted from fish, such as anchovies, tuna, cod and salmon.

The famous krill oil is an alternative to the traditional fish oil and there are promising data that it is a bioactive and effective source of omega-3 fatty acids.

Krill oil is extracted from krill. Krill (Euphausiacea) is a kind of crustacean-like shrimp, zooplankton and it inhabits the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. Krill is a rich source of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.

Intake of low doses of krill oil (90 mg DHA + EPA) can successfully increase the plasma levels of EPA and DHA, as well as the intermediate fatty acids and the arachidonic acid. The mechanism of action is that of fish oil.

Krill oil is successfully used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. 300 mg significantly reduce the C-reactive protein and improve the WOMAC rating by 30%.  WOMAC is associated with parameters such as pain, stiffness and physical function in the joints.

A dose of 3000 mg per day shows a stronger effect than a dose of 2000 mg, as the increase of good cholesterol is by 59% and the reduction of bad cholesterol is by 39%.  Krill oil has a significant superiority over fish oil with the same dose.

Flaxseed Oil Supplement Review on Usage, Dosage, Side Effects

6/11/2018

Flaxseed Oil Supplement
Flaxseed is high in omega-3 fatty acids, represented mainly by ALA. However, you cannot get adequate amounts of EPA and DHA from flaxseed oil. Flaxseed contains also lignans - fibers that play a role in the antioxidant protection due to their structure as polyphenols.

The omega-3 fatty acids in flaxseed and also ALA alone may have a positive effect against cardiovascular diseases. The alpha-linolenic acid can help protect blood vessels from inflammation.

It is believed that the consumption of flaxseed increases the content of ALA levels in the blood, even if the seeds have been used in baked goods, such as bread or muffins.

The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of flaxseed are not just limited to the cardiovascular activity. Therefore, the inclusion of foods that have proven antioxidant benefits, such as flaxseed, is advisable in such conditions.
