During the last month, I had the chance to test one group dietary supplements which I believe are essential for any athlete. 

This is the group of the essential omega fatty acids. They are called essential fatty acids because the human body can't produce them. 

You can get Omega-3 and Omega-6/9 from your diet - from food rich in omegas or from omega-3 and omega-6 supplements.

It is pretty easy to get enough omega-6 and omega-9 from your diet. However, omega-3 are best absorbed from fish-rich foods.
